if you would like to find out if your twingo has an outstanding recall all you need to do is either ring renault recall line on 0800 32 82 403 or email to customer.services@renault.co.uk quoting your registration number and your VIN number. ive done it myself but still waiting for a reply.

Thanks for the tip. It is also possible to phone your local dealer (or any Renault dealer) and quote your registration number. They can bring up the information on their system.

yeah i havent heard anything about a recall the only thing i did read was when i was looking at the reader reviews on what car and one of them said " my daughter car's gas pedal got stuck down and she was nearly in an accident", but even reading that i wasnt put off by the twingo lol!

I think this is because Renault had a few problems with pedals getting stuck under mats. If you buy genuine mats now you get safety fixing points which work fine as I have them!!

i had theat problem.. (pedal getting caught under the mat) and its with the mats i got free with the car... lol... only for some reason they gave me ones not specific for the twingo... but i know it does it now and i know how far down i have to put the throttel for it to stick so i just dont put ma foot down to hard... saves ma fuel aswell... lol
Yeah if you buy new Twingo mats they actually fix down on the drivers side

I just found that review you mentioned:
Elaine, 10:54 - 8th May 2008
I was searching to know if there was a reported problom with the accelerator on the new twingo as my daughter was nearly killed by the pedal getting stuck down. I drove the car after and it also happened to me Renault can not find what is wrong with it.
