a tip: If your boss blocks certain sites, download Mozilla Firefox and you should be able to roam more freely. It's also very easy to choose options that stop Firefox remembering where you've been, and it won't display on your Desktop. I'm on it right now for those reasons ;D

it has been lowered by the looks of things about 35 to 40 drop i think... depends on what size the rims are... im not keen on the wheels myself, never have really like wolfrace wheels... just my opinion. some are ok, but i think they went to far when they made the yellow and gold and pink wheels.... YUCK... lol

the wolfrace on their twingo look loads better than the ones i had on mine

i'm waiting for k-tech to get back to me (busy with a customer) to see how much of a drop and what make the suspension set up is, and what they have done to get it to 130bhp

i think i might look at going down the k tech route rather than getting an rs twingo!!

In three years time though i'd rather just trade the twingo in for a newer/faster car :S

Once the finance is up ill be 24, and be rolling in a meg R26!, but who knows i may keep the twingo in adition to getting a new car! as for ktecs car i think its been lowered on H+R springs, 40mm about 130quid posted from germany, im getting a set of them, and then coilovers next year!

just spoke to k tech and their car has a 60mm drop with 10mm spacers on it all round, gonna get a set ordered soon, also the exhaust is pretty imminent (possibly prices next week)

anyone fancy the eibachs off my car for their twingo?

how hard to lower the rear end

big jim
10-07-2008, 01:59 PM
its springs all round rather than a torsion bar so i shouldn't imagine it would be too hard

Twingo Geekeo

so yours are 60mm drop puts me off that mean shocks need changing

drop for the rear is pretty easy, same set up as the vxl corsa c..., jack the car up by the rear beam (obviosuly put a bit of wood or sumthing between) then wack it on stands (will have to find a point good enough to hold it as you cannot put the stands under the beam due to reasons you will hear in a sec) then remove the bottom bolts of the strut/shock remembering to leave the jack in place as this is holding up the rear beam, once youve removed the bolts from both sides at the bottom of the strut/shock you just drop the jack down slowly which basically drops the rear beam, and the springs are between the beam and the chasis, so it removes the compression from the springs and you can just pull it out, pop the new springs in, jack the car up so the struts/shocks are back inline with the bolt holes bolt it all together, jack it up a tad more remove the stands and drop it back down..

sounds fidley but is easy as pie. when i get some rear springs i will make a tutorial..

no mine is a supposed 30mm drop but i dont think it is in reality, changing the shocks is what puts me off a bit, i may well just hang on and go for some coil overs instead

sorry betty i misread your post futher up, your asking about my eibachs rather than the k tech one arent you?

mine drop it supposedly by 30mm but i think its less than that, i would want about £70 for them if i do decide to swap, wont be doing it straight away though
